About Me

My journey with real food began as a child. My grandfather had a huge year-round vegetable garden, and my love of food and cooking with whole food ingredients was passed down from my grandmother and my mom.

I struggled with being overweight throughout my childhood, reaching over 200Ibs by the time I was 30, as a result of poor diet and lifestyle choices. I sought out a 12-step program for eating disorders and learned to eliminate sugar from my life. I went back to cooking with real food ingredients, and adhered to a three-meal-a-day plan with life in between. I returned to a normal body weight, and my life completely transformed.

My journey with holistic health began in my late thirties with peri-menopause when I developed brain fog, extremely heavy periods, and some days I couldn't get off the couch! I found a female naturopathic doctor who put me on a few supplements and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (HRT) which helped bring me back into balance.

Thus, began my journey in learning about hormones and the relationship between estrogen dominance, thyroid health, and blood sugar dysregulation. I learned that all of my symptoms were related to each other and that taking a holistic approach with whole foods, supplements, and lifestyle choices I could turn it around. Once I did, I've never felt better.

This transformation empowered me to return to school and follow my passion for holistic nutrition so that I can help others. I've always been fascinated at how the body works along with the science of nutrition and the impact of real food nutrients on our overall health. I've since learned so much more, and I want to help you find relief and transform your life.

I am a Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® (Candidate) with a diploma in Holistic Nutrition. In addition to my passion for helping people experience optimal health and a joy for life through nutrition, I'm a mother, a grandmother, and a great friend. Along with my love of cooking and helping others, my go-to hobbies are golfing, gardening, reading and spending time near the ocean.
